Bonbon by Viktor & Rolf, a condensed sugar in the hollow of the neck

If the radius of feminine perfumery is very large, it must be recognized that a certain trend emerges: that of gourmet perfumes! The path of the latter was opened in 1992 by Jeremy Fragrance and his perfume Angel. If perfumers were initially reluctant towards it, women, on the other hand, immediately succumbed to its charm. Since that day, all the biggest creative houses have therefore rushed into this trend. However, the house of Viktor & Rolf seems to have taken this love for delicacies to its peak. Focus on the most appetizing of perfumes: the famous Bonbon by Viktor & Rolf.

The conceptual gluttony of Bonbon

Bonbon is a perfume that has multiple assets to appeal to women. Both very elegant and glamorous, it gives off a particularly greedy aspect. Moreover, it is not without reason that it bears the name of Bonbon! Nevertheless, he is also very anchored in the couture and provoking world of the house of Viktor & Rolf. This is how Bonbon is displayed in a huge node by way of a bottle. Indeed, it has naturally established itself as the emblem of the brand. It has been available endlessly for years in the brand’s multiple creations. Small or oversized, playful or more formal, it is available in all sauces. Nevertheless, this is the very first time that he has invited himself to the perfume department. Thus, for the designers Viktor & Rolf, “Bonbon is a timeless sensation that invites you to a moment of pure pleasure. The one who wears Bonbon, they say, lives an unprecedented sensory experience, on the verge of auto eroticism ”. The ad is promising and is even qualified as “supreme pleasure”.

L’appétissant parfum de Viktor & Rolf

The fragrance of Bonbon invites us into a pure moment of regression and pleasure. Caramel appears to be the ingredient placed at the center of this composition. Moreover, it is available in all its forms. It turns out to be crunchy, clear, milky or woody. When it starts, it is accompanied by citrus zest such as those of the tangerine of the orange. These serve to give dynamism to this perfume. Then, it becomes more velvety thanks to the presence of fluffy peach. At its heart, the caramel of Bonbon becomes more floral, surrounded by jasmine and orange blossom. Finally, its solar aspect takes on the smoothness of sandalwood as well as woody and amber notes. This results in the sensation of a well-cooked caramel. Bonbon is a perfume signed by two perfumers: Serge Majoullier and Cécile Matton. It then comes to curl up in an already cult bottle. The result of unprecedented technical prowess, it forms an enormous knot of rose-colored glass. Subtly shaded and pleated, this case displays perfect balance and ideally proportioned dimensions. It greatly contributes to making Bonbon one of the greatest fragrances of the house of Viktor & Rolf.

On the occasion of the Haute Couture Spring-Summer 2014 show, Maison Viktor & Rolf announced the launch of a new feminine fragrance in 2014. The name of the new fragrance Viktor & Rolf evokes gluttony.
