Metallic, the daring and luminous new essence of Tom Ford
Tom Ford is an American designer who is one of the most iconic and original on the planet. With him, luxury becomes ever more daring! When he decided to create his own brand, after having cut his teeth at Gucci and Yves Saint-Laurent, he simply wanted to make it “the first luxury brand of the 21st century”. For this, Tom Ford develops surprising creations, often inspired by unexpected materials. Among them: metal. It must be said that Tom Ford initially trained in design and architecture. From there, he retained the taste for the material and an unlimited inventiveness. This time, taking inspiration from metal, he chose to make a feminine perfume. The idea was daring but nonetheless very brilliant!
Tom Ford’s metallic bottle
Let’s start by presenting the bottle of this new perfume to you. Obviously, to echo his name, Tom Ford opted for a totally metallic bottle. Devoid of any superfluous, it consists of two cylinders stacked one on top of the other. The first, very wide, constitutes the base of this bottle, the container itself. It is covered with a silver lacquer, at the same time contemporary, raw and almost unisex. The second cylinder, on the other hand, is smaller. This is the Metallic stopper. This time, Tom Ford has bet on a more bling-bling, infinitely chic material: gold. On top of this bottle, Tom Ford has also engraved his initials. Finally, to complete the whole thing, the Metallic bottle is decorated, on its front face, with a square plate bearing its name, also covered with a golden lacquer.
Metallic, a gourmet, floral and very luminous essence
As gold has the gift of arousing envy, the new Metallic fragranceis already promising to attract all the attention … It starts off with absolute freshness, combining aldehydes and bergamot. The bitterness of this citrus fruit is precisely measured here, while its ardor is further accentuated by the spicier presence of pink pepper. Then, this spicy side is still present in the heart of Metallic, while becoming more floral on contact with the hawthorn. This plant with sharp thorns mingles with the sweetness of lily of the valley and heliotrope. Gradually, Métallique gains in sensuality and wraps itself in Peruvian balsam and ambrette. The woody scents of its base are also sublimated with vanilla. Finally, the sandalwood comes to make the whole more creamy. Generally speaking, Metallic is a “Venus of metal in flowers” endowed with an extreme richness, numerous reliefs and depth. This airy scent gradually becomes more comforting. It is both greedy and floral without becoming too feminine. For a little and it almost seems like a unisex essence.
