Olfaction is part of our five senses and is without the most powerful. As such, a good number of perfumers discover their vocation even when they are children. So he embarked on chemistry studies, determined to later join a perfumer course.
Once his chemists degree in hand, he left to join the prestigious Givaudan school located in Grasse, the world capital of perfumery. This city is known for its Mediterranean climate and its region dotted with multiple fields of flowers. Thus, it is here that Antoine Lie completed his training course as a perfumer. After graduating, Antoine Lie remained within the Givaudan group, the world leader in current fragrances. He worked in this company until 2011, which allowed him to collaborate with the greatest. Nevertheless, eager to sail to other horizons, Antoine Lie joined the Japanese company Takasago, specialist in the production of booming flavors and fragrances.

Antoine Lie is a colorful character. A man of contrasts, he likes to create perfumes in his image, full of surprises. He thus often works out juices full of contradictions. This raw man of formwork also likes perfumes that strike hard and devoid of artifice. Antoine Lie’s writing is both direct while arousing emotions by assembling opposites such as hot and cold, the shy and the rebellious. For him, a perfume is made to get noticed. He must be immediately identifiable when one breaks into a room with him. Thus, Antoine Lie is known for his fragrances combining opulent and animal notes. Antoine Lie is the author of Contradiction pour Femme by Calvin Klein, Romance by Ralph Lauren, Armani Code pour Homme on which he collaborated with Antoine Maisondieu, and Paul Smith London. Likewise, at the same time, he found a certain freedom of olfactory creation at Etat Libre D’Orange for which he composed several perfumes.
